I am in the process of purchasing both an Iphone 4 and an Ipad. I already have a Dragon Legal 10 on my Laptop togetther with the Speech Exec Pro Dictate 5.0, both purchased 2-3 months ago (2010).
The Iphone and IPad are both compatible with the Dragon program.
I wish to be able to incorporate the Speech Dictate, hopefully the upgraded version, in the IPad to allow me to use my digital dictaphone ( Philips) purcased at some cost.
Can this be done, bearing in mind that the Ipad has only one port for recharge purposes and no CD?
I would be grateful for any suggestions.

To my knowledge, you cannot use Dragon Legal on the iPhone or iPad. There is an extremely simplified Dragon app for the iDevices, but it is nothing like Dragon Legal.
If you wish a portable speech solution, use the Philips DPM, and forego the iDevices.
