Dragon, Citrix & the Windows Clipboard

Overview

On occasion, when using Dragon’s Dictation Box to dictate into an application that is published through Citrix, the "transfer text" command may become unresponsive transferring no text or text from earlier in the session.

Example

Early in the day you dictated successfully for your patient, Susan Smith, a 34 year old female. Currently you are dictating for your patient, Jeff Brown, a53 year old male. Within the dictation box the information is displayed as expected but after issuing the "transfer text" command, the results of your previous dictation for Ms. Smith have been transferred instead to your current session with Mr. Brown.

Overview

There are several items you need to consider if your organization plans to deploy Dragon in a Citrix environment.

These documents provide some basic guidelines about configuring the Citrix environment and scaling client usage on Citrix servers to ensure maximum performance of Dragon and users of Dragon, as well as other implementation and usage information.

Speakeasy Solutions Inc. provides Dragon (and related items such as microphones) and instructs on its use, however, the actual implementation must be performed by the Citrix environment provider.
