Unprecedented Speech-recognition Accuracy Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 is up to 20% more accurate than Version 8.

Expanded language models and improved acoustic training techniques deliver the largest accuracy increase of any release in the history of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 contains two new technical innovations that improve upon the core speech-recognition accuracy. The two innovations are:

Pelaudio Acoustic Scale Score (PASS) -- PASS represents the latest evolution of Dragon's patented approach to speaker-dependent speech-recognition. The implementation of PASS in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 involves taking a given phonetic element and applying a series of complex statistical and algorithm transformations to create a per phonetic element PASS score that can then be used to develop higher accuracy results with greater confidence.
SilentAdapt -- SilentAdapt further improves speech-recognition accuracy in Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 by providing continuous acoustic adaptation without user intervention. The result is much improved accuracy and a simpler user experience as changes and modifications in acoustics are factored into the user's profile transparently.

No Training Required New users can get started dictating right away without reading any "training scripts". Speakeasy Solutions Inc., however, strongly suggests reading the initial five minute training text.

Supports Enterprise Wide Deployments Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 supports Citrix environments, enabling users to dictate from workstations that do not have Dragon NaturallySpeaking installed. Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 makes your unique user speech profile available anywhere on the network, and automatically synchronizes updates and adaptations centrally.

More Editing Support Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 offers new "out of the box" support for new standard editing controls, which enables complete Dragon functionally, such as "select and say" in many more applications. New supported edit controls include Borland's Tmemo, Tedit & TRichEdit controls as well as TE Edit from Subsystems and TX Text from TX Text Control.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 includes a new indicator that lets you know when you have "Select and Say" functionality available.

Autotranscribe Folder Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 includes an option to create a desktop folder to place digital dictations from a handheld device and have them transcribed automatically, thereby streamlining dictation workflow.

Support for New Wireless Input Devices, Including Bluetooth With Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9, you can use a Bluetooth microphone as an input device, meaning you are no longer tethered to your PC.

Supporting Your Favourite Applications Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 supports most current releases of Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, Word Perfect, AOL and with this release we have added support for Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 includes a new "Voice Notations" feature for Microsoft Word, which allows users to include un-transcribed instructions for third party editors.

PC Hardware Specifications Speakeasy Solutions Inc. recommends the following absolute minimum PC desktop hardware requirements for Dragon NaturallySpeaking Version 9: DuoCore 2.0 GHz and 2 GB RAM.

If you require antivirus, we recommend the Home versions of NOD32 Antivirus, plus Smart Security if you do not have a firewall (i.e. notebook PC users who travel).

Minimum PC notebook requirements should be comparable with respect to speed and power of the above specifications.
